A big-rig leaked fuel and caught fire on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Dublin on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle fire was reported at about 6:45 a.m. near Schaefer Ranch Road and the flames spread to some brush nearby, CHP officials said. An estimated 80-100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled in the roadway. The two right lanes of westbound Highway 580 are closed as of 8:30 a.m. while crews respond to the scene, according to the CHP. There is no estimate yet for when the lanes will reopen.
