BART police detain five after Pittsburg/Bay Point station shooting

BART’s Pittsburg/Bay Point station reopened Monday evening after police investigated a report of shots fired on the station platform, BART officials said.

As of 7:21 p.m., the station had reopened and normal service had been restored.

Five people were detained and are being questioned by BART police in connection with the shooting, according to BART.

No one was injured by the shooting. But it caused a major delay on the Antioch line in the Antioch and San Francisco International Airport directions.
