At-risk 78-year-old Antioch man missing since Tuesday

Police in Antioch are asking for the public’s help in finding a 78-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia who went missing Tuesday morning and is thought to be at risk.

Clarence Smith is described as a black man with blue eyes standing 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.

Antioch Police Department Clarence Smith, 78, has been missing from his Antioch, Calif. home since the morning of Tuesday, October 1, 2019. His vehicle, a silver 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe is also missing. Smith is considered at risk with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

He was last seen around 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of L Street.

Investigators are asking the public to keep an eye out for Smith’s vehicle, which is also missing. It’s described as a silver 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe with license plate No. 4ZKH349. Police have released photos of both Smith and the Hyundai.

Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts or his vehicle is asked to call the Antioch Police Department’s non-emergency line at (925) 778-2441.
