Man pleads not guilty to eight sexual assaults spanning nearly 20 years

A 62-year-old resident of El Dorado County accused of sexual abusing three girls is being held on $8.8 million bail at the Martinez Detention Facility, Contra Costa County prosecutors said Tuesday. Rodney Brown has pleaded not guilty to eight felonies for offenses from 1995 to 2014.

Prosecutors allege that at least two of the assaults took place in El Dorado County in 1995, but the more recent victim is a Contra Costa County resident and that alleged offense took place in 2014. Brown currently resides in Camino, but investigators say he’s also believed to have lived in Brentwood and Bethel Island.

Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office Rodney Brown, 62, of Camino, Calif. pleaded not guilty to eight felonies charges of sexual assaults that allegedly occurred from 1995 to 2014 in El Dorado and Contra Costa counties.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Sgt. Garrett Schiro with the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office at (925) 313-2620.
