Truck, train collision results in at least one fatality

At least one person died in a collision early Wednesday afternoon involving a train and truck in unincorporated Monterey County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at about 1:10 p.m. along state Highway 183 at McFadden Road, west of Salinas.

Preliminary information from the CHP says fuel spilled following the crash.
