PG&E restores power to thousands in Oakland

More than 3,700 PG&E customers were without power in Oakland early Tuesday morning.

PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said the outage started at 5:41 a.m. effecting 3,748 customers. The outage was in an area between Interstate Highways 880 and 580 and bordered by Park Boulevard and 19th Avenue, per PG&E’s outage website.

PG&E had restored power to customers by around 8 a.m. Guidi said the cause of the outage is under investigation.
