Healdsburg fire prompts mandatory evacuations

The city of Healdsburg has issued a mandatory evacuation order due to a vegetation fire in the areas of Sunset Drive, Valley View Drive and Benjamin Way in the eastern part of the city on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire in the North Fitch Mountain Road area was reported around 1:55 p.m.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story said incorrectly the fire was in the area of South Fitch Mountain Road. The error was due to a mistake by City of Healdsburg officials. The fire was in the North Fitch Mountain Road area. The story has been corrected.
