Firefighters call second alarm at 50-acre Dublin grass fire

Firefighters called a second alarm and air strike assistance to help put out a grass fire in Dublin that had grown to 50 acres on Friday afternoon.

Cal Fire and the Alameda County Fire Department said shortly after 2 p.m. that the fire was burning in the area of 3840 Camino Loop in Dublin and threatening two structures.

Alameda County Office of Emergency Services told residents to be prepared for evacuation if necessary. Firefighters from the Fremont and Livermore-Pleasanton fire departments are assisting.
