Cal Fire responded to an acid leak late Monday morning at Napa State Hospital.
Twenty-five gallons of low-concentrate acid was found leaking from a deteriorated industrial strength cardboard barrel onto a concrete floor, Cal Fire said.
The acid was quickly contained and neutralized, and Cal Fire remained on the scene until 3:30 p.m. when a hospital-trained clean-up crew was to arrive.
