Hit-and-run leaves motorcyclist in critical condition

Police in Antioch are investigating a hit-and-run collision that occurred Thursday and left a motorcyclist in critical condition. On Thursday at 10:30 p.m., officers with the Antioch Police Department responded to the area of East 18th Street and Phillips Lane on a report of a collision involving a motorcycle.

Responding officers located a motorcycle with extensive damage on East 18th Street and an unoccupied vehicle with extensive damage in a nearby parking lot.

The motorcyclist, a 34-year-old man, had been ejected from the motorcycle during the collision and was suffering from serious injuries, police said.

He was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical condition Thursday night.

Police did not locate the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision.
