Antioch shooting leaves victim in critical condition

Police in Antioch are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon and left a man in critical condition.

Officers with the Antioch Police Department responded Friday at 12:47 p.m. to the area of West 9th and Jay streets on a report of several gunshots in the area.

Responding officers located a 28-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical condition Friday night, police said.
