A man was found dead Thursday morning in the eastbound lane of Foothill Boulevard in Calistoga, police Chief Mitch Celaya said. Police responded around 4 a.m. and found a body near a bicycle, and the victim’s blunt force injuries are consistent with a vehicle collision, Celaya said.
Calistoga police called the Napa County Major Crimes Task Force, which will lead the investigation, Celaya said.
There were no witnesses to the collision, which happened in a residential area at Foothill Boulevard and Silver Street in southern Calistoga, according to Celaya.
