A four-alarm fire burned at least 40 acres in East San Jose, Calif. July 15, 2019. The blaze was threatening structures near the Evergreen neighborhood at last report from Cal Fire.
Two buildings have been destroyed and forward progress has been stopped in a 47-acre vegetation fire in East San Jose Monday morning, according to Cal Fire.
The fire was reported at 11:03 a.m. at 3821 Aborn Road in the Evergreen neighborhood of San Jose. Forward progress was stopped at about 12:30 p.m.
No injuries have been reported and residents in the area have been given voluntary evacuation orders, according to Cal Fire spokeswoman Pam Temmermand.
