Vegetation fire destroys two buildings, burns 47 acres

Two buildings have been destroyed and forward progress has been stopped in a 47-acre vegetation fire in East San Jose Monday morning, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was reported at 11:03 a.m. at 3821 Aborn Road in the Evergreen neighborhood of San Jose. Forward progress was stopped at about 12:30 p.m.

No injuries have been reported and residents in the area have been given voluntary evacuation orders, according to Cal Fire spokeswoman Pam Temmermand.
