A two-alarm vegetation fire beside the railroad tracks south of Armijo High School in Fairfield spread to a nearby automotive business, damaging several stored vehicles there, Fairfield firefighters said Sunday night on social media.
The fire in the open field between the railroad tracks and businesses at the end of the 300 block of State Street was called in at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday. The flames later spread to the adjacent vehicle storage area, the Fairfield Fire Department said on Twitter. No injuries have been reported. No other details were immediately available Sunday night.
