Police pursuit ends in center divide crash, one arrest

At least one person was arrested and two others fled the scene of a collision following a high-speed pursuit on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Mateo early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said the pursuit was canceled due to high speeds, but the suspect’s vehicle crashed into the center divide at 1:27 a.m. near Dore Avenue and three occupants of the vehicle then fled.

Only one was taken into custody near the scene and their name has not been released, according to the CHP. Nobody was injured.
