Santa Clara fire crews are battling a four-alarm blaze at an apartment building construction site at the corner of El Camino Real and Scott Boulevard, according to Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety. Public Safety officials also announced an evacuation order for people living on Pierce and Clay streets
At about 11:20 a.m. Friday, fire officials said El Camino Real is closed between Scott Boulevard and Lincoln Street.
Residents in the area are being advised to close their windows and bring pets inside.
No additional information was immediately available.
