San Jose house fire displaces six people

Six people have been displaced after a house fire in San Jose’s Cambrian Park neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

The fire was reported at 14272 Bercaw Lane at 2:09 p.m., and one person suffered minor injuries. They are currently receiving treatment from paramedics and may be taken to a hospital, according to Fire Capt. Mitch Matlow.

The fire began in the garage but the cause is currently under investigation. Firefighters had called a second alarm but it has since been downgraded to a single alarm, with no other structures threatened.

Bercaw Lane is closed during the fire response and traffic is impacted on Camden Avenue. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
