Two women and a child were hospitalized after a two-alarm fire damaged three buildings in Emeryville Wednesday morning, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.
Alameda County and Oakland firefighters responded at 8:45 a.m. to the fire burning at 1061 47th St.
The fire extended to adjacent buildings at 1063 and 1065 47th St. but was under control within an hour of firefighters responding to the scene, Alameda County fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.
Police helped evacuate people from adjacent homes. Six people were evaluated at the scene for possible injuries, and the two women and one child were transported to hospitals.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
