Someone is calling people claiming to be from the Oakland Police Department’s youth services division and asking for money in a scam, police said Friday.
The caller is calling from (510) 238-3641, impersonating an Oakland police officer and asking for money to remove the recipient from a call list.
Police said this is a scam and police will not ever call someone and ask for money.
