At least one person died Friday evening in a crash on southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Milpitas, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An officer came upon the crash scene at 5:49 p.m. just south of Dixon Landing Road.
Three lanes of the highway are blocked in the area and a Sig-alert has been issued to alert motorists to poor traffic conditions.
