Fairfield roads reopen after suspicious device deemed fake

Fairfield police said a suspicious device found in a vehicle Thursday afternoon was fake and all roads in the area are open.

Officers began evacuations when the device was found in the 2100 block of Nottingham Drive, police said in an advisory at 1:03 p.m. An explosive ordnance response team from Napa County responded to the incident and determined the device was fake around 2:40 p.m., police said.
