Fire crews quickly contain Novato vegetation fire

Fire crews have contained a vegetation fire Monday afternoon in the 1100 block of Leafwood Heights in the Marin Village area of Novato west of U.S. Highway 101, police said.

Leafwood Heights at Sunset Parkway and Sunset Parkway at Greenwood Drive are closed to traffic, police said.

Police issued a Nixle alert about the fire around 2 p.m.
