Victim shot while sitting on sidewalk in Tenderloin

A man was shot while sitting on the sidewalk in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early Tuesday morning, police said.

The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. in the 100 block of Jones Street.

The 47-year-old victim was sitting on the sidewalk when someone shot him from across the street, according to police.

The suspect fled and remains at large. Police did not immediately release a description of the shooter.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.
