Police in Lafayette are asking people to avoid Brook Street between Dewing Avenue and Mountain View Drive due to a residential structure fire Tuesday afternoon.
A single-family home is burning and neighbors are being evacuated, according to a statement posted to Nixle.com just after 4 p.m.
