Three people sustain injuries in Hwy 12 collision

Three people were injured in a collision on state Highway 12 at Fulton Road west of Santa Rosa on Monday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The collision happened around 9 a.m. when the female driver of a Toyota Camry traveling west on Highway 12 lost control and struck the driver’s side of an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, CHP Officer David deRutte said.

The truck driver was unable to avoid the collision. A male passenger in the Silverado was the most seriously injured, and all three of the vehicles’ occupants were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, deRutte said.

One-way traffic control was in effect on Highway 12 as of late Monday morning as a result of the crash, deRutte said.
