Collision causes major injuries, Fremont intersection closure

A major injury collision involving two vehicles has closed the intersection of Pacific Commons Boulevard and Currie Street in Fremont and police are advising the public to avoid the area.

Police were called to the scene at 5:32 p.m.

The drivers of both vehicles and one passenger were taken by ambulance to hospitals. “One of the involved parties was unconscious upon officers’ arrival and is believed to be suffering from life-threatening injuries,” police said in an announcement.

Traffic investigators were called to assist.
