A 90-year-old man died Saturday morning, a day and a half after a vehicle struck him as he tried to cross a local residential street, South San Francisco police said Saturday afternoon.
Conrad Furger of South San Francisco died at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital from injuries he suffered at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, when he was struck by a westbound vehicle in the 500 block of Baden Avenue as he tried to walk across the street, South San Francisco police said.
The vehicle’s driver remained on the scene and has cooperated with police investigators. Police said that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in this accident.
