Threatening graffiti prompts Benicia Middle School lockdown

Benicia Middle School was temporarily locked down as a precaution Wednesday morning after threatening graffiti was found in a bathroom, Benicia police said.

Police responded to the school at 1100 Southampton Road and determined the threat was not credible.

The lockdown was lifted and students and school staff are safe, police said.
