Robbery and assault leaves victim with life-threatening head injuries

Police are seeking two men involved in a robbery in San Francisco on Sunday evening in which the victim suffered life-threatening head injuries, police said.

The robbery occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Mission Street and Geneva Avenue, police said.

One of two suspects punched the victim, a 34-year-old man. The impact caused the victim to fall and hit his head on the pavement and lose consciousness, according to police.

The second suspect then took cash from the victim.

The victim was taken to a hospital for head trauma. Both suspects fled on foot and remain at large. Police described them as two men in their 20s but more detailed descriptions were not immediately available.
