Man carjacked during meeting to sell car, suspect arrested

A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday after an alleged carjacking that occurred after he met up with the victim in San Francisco’s Mission District to discuss a sale of the vehicle, police said.

The theft occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 19th and Capp streets.

The 25-year-old victim met with the suspect to discuss the potential sale, but the suspect drove away in the vehicle. Police eventually located the vehicle and suspect, whose name has not been released. The victim suffered a laceration to his hand in the exchange, but declined medical treatment, according to police.
