The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk starts its spring season this week with rides and games opening at 11 a.m. Monday, according to boardwalk officials.
The boardwalk will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Thursday, and will extend its hours to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 p.m. Saturday.
Starting Monday, a park guest will be honored as a “guest of the day,” and will get to press a button to start the rides for the day. They’ll then enjoy VIP treatment throughout the boardwalk.
Daily operations will continue on April 8, with limited rides during weekdays until the summer season starts on Memorial Day, May 27.
