Vallejo man, 31, identified as fatal motorcycle crash victim

The Solano County Sheriff’s Office has identified a motorcycle rider who died in a crash on Interstate Highway 780 in Benicia on Monday afternoon as Scott Glen, 31, of Vallejo.

The crash just west of Interstate Highway 680 was reported around 1:25 p.m. Glen was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:36 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

California Highway Patrol Officer David Harvey said Glen had just driven from northbound Highway 680 onto westbound Highway 780 when he crashed his Honda sport motorcycle into the center median guardrail for a reason still under investigation.

The CHP said Monday they received reports the motorcycle rider was driving recklessly before the crash.
