Major pavement repair work is planned for two stretches of Balfour Road in Brentwood, to coincide with soon-to-finish work on the new state Highway 4/Balfour Road interchange, Brentwood officials said. The city and the Contra Costa Transportation Authority are teaming up for the paving work on Balfour from Minnesota Avenue to Fairview Avenue, east of Highway 4, and from East Country Club Drive to the city’s western boundary line, west of Highway 4.
While some prep work has already begun, most of the pavement repair is scheduled to occur between March 18-29, while local schools are closed for spring break. Drivers should expect temporary lane closures and/or detours during this time, city officials said.
