Uyen Thi Phuong Tran, 43, of San Jose died after becoming asphyxiated after hanging herself, medical examiner’s officials said early Saturday morning.
Police haven’t released additional details into the investigation of the murder-suicide that happened Wednesday in south San Jose. Officers responded at 12:27 p.m. to a home in the 5300 block of Dent Avenue and found Tran and her children dead.
Police determined late Wednesday that Tran killed her 4-year-old and 7-year-old sons before killing herself. The medical examiner’s office didn’t release the name of the boys or their cause of death. The deaths of the boys are the eighth and ninth homicides in San Jose this year, police said.
