San Francisco Fire Department crews contained a two-alarm blaze in the city’s Portola neighborhood early Saturday morning, according to fire union officials.
The blaze was first reported around 5 a.m. in the 300 block of Wayland Street, union officials said. Families were displaced, but an exact number of people affected wasn’t provided.
The majority of the damage affected an under-construction home, and nearby homes suffered minimal damage, fire union officials said. Fire department officials weren’t immediately available to confirm details of the blaze.
