A man was arrested after hitting a pedestrian and dragging him under his truck for half a block near downtown San Francisco on Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.
The collision was reported at 10:27 p.m. in the area of First and Howard streets.
A large box truck hit the 47-year-old victim, who became pinned under the truck and dragged down the street. The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition as of Wednesday morning, according to police.
The 40-year-old driver of the truck was arrested following the collision, but police have not released his name or why he was arrested.
