Two students were stabbed Friday at James Logan High School in Union City.
One of the students suffered a serious puncture to the lower abdomen, and the other suffered minor injuries, according to the Union City Police Department.
The student who was seriously injured was transported to the hospital and was in stable condition Friday night, police said. The incident occurred Friday at 10:35 a.m. in the 400 wing of the high school campus.
During the initial investigation into the incident, the school was placed on lockdown as officers searched for the suspect.
Detectives located and arrested a juvenile suspect at a grocery store in Hayward within a few hours of the incident.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.
