Reward offered to find driver who hit 7-year-old girl

Police are searching for the driver of a car that hit a 7-year-old girl and drove away without stopping in Santa Rosa on Saturday evening, police said.

The girl was hospitalized with minor injuries after she was hit about 5:15 p.m. in the area of Campoy Street and Louis Krohn Drive, according to an alert posted Sunday night by Santa Rosa police.

The vehicle was described as only as a dark-colored sedan, and police did not have a detailed description of the driver.

Anyone who witnessed or has information about the collision is asked to call Santa Rosa police at (707) 528-5222.

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance “Take Back Our Community Program.” The reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in the collision.
