Protesters gather in three Bay Area cities to fight ‘fake crisis’

Protesters are gathering in three Bay Area cities for noon rallies on Monday to protest President Donald Trump’s national emergency declaration. The demonstrations in Oakland, San Francisco and Walnut Creek are part of a national day of action dubbed the “Presidents Day Protest to Fight Trump’s Fake Crisis.”

The Oakland protest will be held at Merritt College, the San Francisco protest will take place at the Federal Building and the Walnut Creek rally will be at the corner of South Main Street and Mt. Diablo Boulevard in downtown Walnut Creek.

The Trump administration has declared a national emergency at the southern border. The movement was organized by MoveOn, ACLU, Public Citizen and more.
