San Francisco police respond to unrelated stabbing and shooting

Police in San Francisco responded to a stabbing and shooting early Tuesday morning, both unrelated and minutes apart, according to police. In the first incident, around 12:10 a.m., officers learned of a stabbing in the 500 block of Broadway, located in the city’s North Beach neighborhood.

A male suspect allegedly punched a 28-year-old man and a female suspect then allegedly stabbed him with a knife. The suspects, both described as being in their 40s, then fled on a bike, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

About a half-hour later, around 12:40 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the first block of Lillian Court in the city’s Bayview neighborhood, according to police.

There, they learned that a 25-year-old man accidentally shot himself with a gun. He was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
