One dead in collision along Highway 1

A solo vehicle crash killed one person along state Highway 1 late Friday night in Monterey County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Around 11:08 p.m., CHP officials reported the fatal crash near 36240 Highway 1, located south of Garrapata State Park.

The involved vehicle was reportedly found on its side, CHP officials said.
