Female victim sexually assaulted on Stanford campus

A female victim was restrained against her will and sexually assaulted early Thursday morning on the campus of Stanford University, public safety officials said Saturday.

The false imprisonment and assault occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 600 block of Escondido Road.

The offenses were reported Friday, according to the Stanford University Department of Public Safety.

The suspect is described as a man, 21 years old and 6 feet tall. Public safety officials said the victim told them that she knows the suspect. The victim told public safety officials that the suspect restrained her against her will and touched her breasts and buttocks even though she told him more than once to stop.

Public safety officers are investigating the case and anyone with information about it is asked to call them at (650) 329-2413.
