A driver was arrested after her vehicle struck and seriously injured a 35-year-old woman near San Francisco’s Alamo Square on Sunday evening, police said Tuesday.
The collision was reported at about 6:40 p.m. in the 900 block of Grove Street just east of the popular park.
The woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a car driven by a 73-year-old woman, who stayed on the scene and was arrested by responding officers, according to police. Her name and the allegations she faces were not immediately released.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries, which were considered life-threatening, police said. No other details about the collision were immediately available
