Second quake in as many days shakes East Bay

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 3.5 earthquake struck the Hayward Fault in Berkeley on Thursday morning.

The quake struck at 6:11 a.m. near the area where a 3.4 earthquake hit on Wednesday morning in Oakland, nearby the area of Thursday’s quake. BART is reporting 15-minute delays as track inspections take place.
