Two homicides were reported hours apart in the same area of San Francisco’s Bayview District on Saturday, police said Monday. The first killing was reported as a shooting at 2:18 a.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of La Salle Avenue.
A 24-year-old man died and a 21-year-old man suffered
life-threatening injuries in the shooting. The suspects, believed to be three men in their 20s, remain at large, according to police.
About 18 hours later, another fatal shooting was reported at 8:09 p.m. in the same area, near La Salle Avenue and Newhall Street. A 49-year-old man died in the shooting and a 27-year-old man was struck in the wrist by the gunfire and survived, police said. No arrest has been made in the latter shooting.
The names of the two people who died in the shootings have not been released by the city’s medical examiner’s office.
