Detectives are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found Monday afternoon in a landfill in unincorporated Alameda County near Livermore, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies responded at about 2:15 p.m. to the landfill at 10840 Altamont Pass Road after workers called to say they found a body.
Sheriff’s officials said it’s likely the body was discarded in another city and transported to the landfill.
Sheriff’s officials said they don’t yet know the gender, age or race of the person.
