One person died in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a box truck in Union City early Tuesday morning, police said.

The collision was reported at 4:21 a.m. at the intersection of Whipple Road and Dyer Street.
The passenger vehicle’s driver was taken to a hospital and died there, according to police. The driver’s identity is not yet being released.
The truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. No other information about the crash was immediately released.
