Aaron Holbrook, 42, of San Lorenzo, has been charged with six counts of annoying a child younger than 18 years old and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Newark Police Department.
On Sept. 23, the Newark Police Department was alerted to incidents of possible inappropriate communication between a Newark Unified School District teacher and a juvenile.
During the investigation, police identified six male victims ranging in age from 14 to 17 years old.
Investigators discovered the teacher, identified as Holbrook, had sent various inappropriate communications to the victims.
Police said the victims were not students at the school where Holbrook was teaching.
The case was presented to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, and Holbrook was charged and subsequently booked into the Fremont Police Department Jail on Dec. 7, police said.
Anyone with additional information on this case is asked to contact the Newark Police Department Investigations Unit at (510) 578-4988.
