Police are investigating a pair of shootings that resulted in homicides on Tuesday night, including one that occurred underneath Interstate Highway 980, according to police and witnesses.
According to police, the first occurred in the 600 block of 23rd Street around 9:21 p.m. Officers have blocked off Martin Luther King Jr. between West Grand Avenue and 23rd Street, according to a witness at the scene around midnight, as they investigate.
The second homicide occurred near the intersection of 11th and Center streets around 9:32 p.m., police said.
In both, one man was shot and killed. Police said no suspects are currently in custody.
