Reggie McKenzie reportedly out as Raiders GM

When Reggie McKenzie was hired as the GM in Oakland, the Raiders were among the NFL’s laughing stocks, with zero playoff appearances and just 45 wins over the previous nine seasons.

Four years later he had built a playoff team. One that looked like it would be a championship contender for years to come.

But, after back-to-back losing seasons, McKenzie’s reign in the East Bay is over, according to CBS Sports.

This move is just the latest in what has been just short of a complete overhaul in the 11 months since Jon Gruden made his triumphant return to the Oakland sidelines. Gruden has, reportedly, been frustrated with the roster and its talent pool.

McKenzie, responsible for the selections of Derek Carr, Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack, also spent high picks on D.J. Hayden, Menelik Watson and Clive Walford.
